Accessible Counselling
At The Lounge Room, the belief is that counselling should feel supportive, welcoming, and within reach. If finances are a barrier, this page is for you.
I offer low-cost sessions starting at $80, and you can use this form to let me know what feels doable for you right now. There’s no need to justify your situation. No detailed explanations. Just honesty about what rate would make accessing therapy sustainable for you.
Once you submit the form, I’ll be in touch with openings and next steps.
Alternative Funding Options
If you are seeking counselling but are unable to access private pay sessions,
here are a couple of external funding programs that may help cover the cost of therapy.
WorkBC Employment Services:
WorkBC may provide funding for counselling services for eligible individuals who are unemployed or working fewer than 20 hours per week.
In some cases, approved clients may receive funding for 10 session of clinical counselling.
For more information about eligibility and how to apply, please visit the WorkBC Employment Services website or connect with your local WorkBC centre.
Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP):
The Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) provides financial assistance for counselling to individuals who have been impacted by crime in British Columbia.
Approved applicants may receive funding for counselling services with registered clinicians.
Eligibility is determined through CVAP directly, and applications are typically submitted through their online portal.
More information can be found on the CVAP website.

✨ Looking Ahead ✨
The Lounge Room Care Fund
A big dream is taking shape. In 2026, I’ll be launching The Lounge Room Care Fund - a community-supported initiative where profits from future Lounge Room merchandise will go directly toward funding free counselling sessions for people who otherwise couldn’t access therapy.
If you love cozy, groovy, feel-good merch and the idea of helping remove barriers to mental health support, keep your eyes peeled. Vibey things are coming.
